Smart Grid products design engineer, will be involved from product conception to production. Responsibilities include designing mechanical parts for high volume stamping processes and plastic injection molding processes. Evaluate designs and materials for use in designs and make recommendations, amd create and review functional / performance / compliance test plans and procedures to ensure adherence to requirements. Communicate technical information and designs to stakeholders in clear, concise and accurate manner. Will create manufacturing documentation such as BOMs, change orders, control records, and manufacturing test specifications Will recommend changes to existing designs and processes to improve the quality of products and effectiveness of processes. Perform heat transfer (conduction, convection and radiation) analysis
